CPAPAuction will not charge Sellers or Buyers any fees without their consent and authorization.

Buyers

  • CPAPAuction does not charge any fees to Buyers.

Seller Verification Fee
  • CPAPAuction does require a charge of $1.00 on a valid credit card to become a Seller and list items.

  • CPAPAuction requires this charge to verify the Seller's identity. This helps to protect Buyers from potential fraudulent activity and keep the marketplace safe.

  • The charge of $1.00 will be applied whenever a credit card is filed on a seller's account, either as the initial entry or if the credit card account is changed.

Sellers Fees
  • The fees are equal to 5% of the winning bid for each item sold at the close of the auction.

  • If an item does NOT sell, there will be no fees.

  • There are no fees to list an item.

  • There are no fees to relist an item.

  • Each time a seller lists an item they must agree to the fees in order to proceed with the listing.

  • Fees accrue as auctions end and are billed monthly once a seller has an established feedback rating. (See below.)

  • Non-payment of the auction item by the Buyer does not exempt the Seller from paying fees.

  • Non-payment of fees will result in the Seller's account being frozen until payment is made.

Sellers' fees accrue upon the close of an auction with a winning bidder. However, the subsequent payment of the item is not a factor in the collection of those fees. It is the Buyer's legal responsibility to pay for the auction item, and the Seller's responsibility to make every effort to collect payment. CPAPAuction is available to help in such efforts to the extent outlined in Understanding CPAPAuction's Role. If the Seller has made diligent, verifiable efforts to collect payment and the Buyer refuses to pay, fees may be eligible to be waived.

In the event of a mutual decision by the Seller and Buyer to withdraw from a transaction, fees are ineligible to be waived.

New sellers, those with less than five positive feedback ratings, will be charged fees at the time the auction successfully closes. Once the seller has received five positive feedback ratings, fees will accrue and be listed in the Fees section of the seller's account. The Seller's credit card on file will be charged near the end of each month with the total of all fees. Please contact us for the exact date of this billing.

If the credit card on file declines or is invalid, CPAPAuction may freeze the Seller's account indefinitely until the fees are collected and the credit card information is once again valid and working, as well as take other steps outlined in the User Agreement to collect outstanding fees and enforce this policy.

If a seller ends an auction outside the policies or User Agreement of the website, fees will be charged as if the auction had ended with a winning bid.

Non-Payment of Fees might lead to a series of actions, including:
  • Limited account access and abilities

  • Suspended account

  • The forfeiture of CPAPAuction fees on terminated listings

  • Listing termination

  • Selling fee schedule adjustments

  • Referral to a collection agency

  • Other legal remedies
