Is a copy of my Sleep Study the same as a prescription?

While a sleep study is often necessary to get a prescription, a copy of your sleep study is not the same as a prescription. While the doctor will often summarize or conclude the results of the sleep study, and the need for a machine is recommended on the report; that is not the same as prescribing a machine for you. An actual prescription will still be required.
